WELCOME TO THE PEER ADVISER PROGRAM!
The Peer Adviser program is sponsored by the Columbia University International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) and brought to you by the Peer Adviserscontinuing international students who have chosen to help you as you make your transition to Columbia and to the United States.
The Peer Advisers, along with the staff of the ISSO, hope that your time at Columbia will be one of learning, fun, and excitement. However, the Peer Adviser program was started in recognition of the fact that moving to a new country and a new life can be stressful. As a new student, you will invariably have questions, concerns, and worries about what to expect in the months and years to come. Fortunately, Peer Advisers know "what it's like" and are available to give you a "student's perspective" about living and studying in New York City.
We hope that you will take full advantage of the offerings of the Peer Adviser program and other resources on this website. If you have any questions about the Peer Adviser Program, please feel free to email us at issopeeradviser@columbia.edu.
Students admitted
to Columbia's graduate and professional schools can read about and contact Peer
Advisers on the Fall 2007 Peer Advisers
page. Students admitted to an undergraduate school will receive information
on undergraduate Peer Advisers from the New Student Orientation Program.
