Study Away and Study Abroad Programs at Columbia University
Columbia offers an array of opportunities for all students, whether enrolled at Columbia or at another institution, to study at the University or attend one of its programs outside the United States.
Nondegree Foreign Language Study
at Columbia University
Columbia offers classes in over 40 foreign languages during the academic year.
The Continuing Education Department makes many of these courses available
to nondegree students who wish to study a foreign language exclusively. Students
may enroll in elementary- or intermediate-level classes on a credit or noncredit
basis.
Visiting Students Program
The Summer Session and Visiting Student Programs makes Columbia's Arts and
Sciences courses available to qualified students who are not degree candidates
at Columbia but who wish to earn academic credit for their studies.
High School Programs
The School of Contnuing Education at Columbia offers rigorous academic programs
for students in grades nine through twelve during the academic year and the
summer.
