Noncredit Foreign Language Study at Columbia University
Columbia offers classes in 21 foreign languages during the academic year.
The School of Continuing Education makes many of these courses available
to nondegree students who wish to study a foreign language exclusively. Students
may enroll in elementary- or intermediate-level classes on a credit or noncredit
The Summer Session and Visiting Students Program programs makes Columbia's Arts and
Sciences courses available to qualified students who are not degree candidates
at Columbia but who wish to earn academic credit for their studies.
High School Programs
The School of Continuing Education at Columbia offers rigorous academic programs in New York City, Barcelona or the Middle East for students in grades nine through twelve during the summer.
