Federica received her Laurea in Lingue e Letterature straniere from the Universita' degli studi di Urbino, Carlo Bo. She has a Master's in Italian literature and a PhD in German from Rutgers University, where she has taught both Italian and German. Since 2000, she teaches courses in Italian language and culture in the summer course for foreigners at the University of Urbino.
