Are you hiring?
The majority of our language instructors are graduate students currently enrolled in our department; teaching duties are an essential component of our graduate students’ training and funding. Instructors of literature courses are hired as a result of a national search, but we currently have no positions available. If a position becomes available, it will be listed on the Jobs at Columbia website.
We invite you to consult the Job Information List of the Association of Departments of Foreign Languages, an electronic database of academic job openings in postsecondary departments of foreign languages: http://www.adfl.org/jil/index.htm.
