Davide Bolognesi

Biography
Davide Bolognesi was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 1978. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Italian Literature, with a thesis on contemporary epistolography. In his work he has collected hundreds of original letters from soldiers employed on the Russian Front in 1942, which he analyzed from a linguistic and historical point of view. The work was published in «Ricerche Storiche» in 2005. In Fall 2005 he entered the Graduate Program in the Department of Italian at Columbia University, where he also teaches language classes. In 2006 he received his Master of Arts. His major interests are in Medieval Italian Literature and he is focusing particularly on the connection between Dante and the Franciscan Order.
