We live in a world of personal computers and search engines, e-mail and network, capacity and storage, research and retrieval, entertainment and commerce, chat rooms and websites, MySpace. … We're manned with PDAs that take pictures, remember our tastes, indulge our whimsies and play our favorite tunes. We have video on demand and songs on a chip and games on a screen. We have bloggers that blabber and blogs that enlighten. We're exposed to hi-def and lowbrow. We are the masters of a new universe whose boundaries are yet to be determined.

But it's also important to remember that it will do us little good to wire the world if we short-circuit our souls.

--Tom Brokaw (Commencement Address; Stanford University--06/18/2006)

At Intervarsity, we don't believe that anyone should have to go through the college life alone. So, we are eager to be a community of students who work together and encourage one another during our time at Columbia.

This page is devoted to discussing personal struggles, investigating the Christian faith, and expressing personal thoughts. Our aim here is to try to figure out what it means to keep from "short-circuiting our souls." Take some time to check out the various links below.
