They will join us at services and Shabbat meals. In order to allow for singing and dancing at meal-time, Shabbat lunch will be held in the Earl Hall Auditorium.] 1) Make a change - join a task force and change Jewish Life. Contact Jeff Wechselblatt. 2) Sunday, the JSU will be holding a study seminar given by Rabbi Sheer, entitled "What Does Judaism Say About Abortion?" There will be a bagel brunch from 11-noon, when the seminar will commence. 1101 International Affairs Building. Also on Sunday evening, Community Impact will have an Open House in the Auditorium at 6. Sunday, there will be a NYSIPAC meeting at 9 in the Schiff Room. See you there! This weekend kicks off Teva's "Plant a Tree Across the Sea" Raffle. Please give. 5) Wednesday night, Yavneh's having an open meeting and ... The JSU, together with many other campus organizations and ministries, is sponsoring Fred Isler from the International Red Cross. He will speak on the situation in Somalia. 6) Thursday is Yavneh's movie night. 7) In the long-term (very long-term) the last week of February will be a flurry of funky activity. JTS will have its Hebrew Musical Production: "Free To Be You and Me," UJA-Federation presents "Billiards Night at Pockets" . . . and A Conference for the New York Jewish Campus Community: Anti-Semitism on the Campus: A Response. Speakers will include Mayor David Dinkins, Abraham Foxman - National Director of the Anti-Defamation League, Dean Jack Greenberg, and our own good Rabbi Sheer. Get your tickets in advance at the Jewish Office for $5. They'll be $7.50 at the door. 8) Please remember, hot chocolate is still available in the Office, as are many books of interest. These books are available for a paltry donation to UJA - Operation Exodus. Rabbi Sheer co-chairs the Columbia Blood Drive which will take place in April.
