Because it is to proclaim that the first Passover Haggadah designed, written and produced by Columbia students will be available this week. This weekend is Yavneh's Prospective Students Shabbaton. We welcome all our guests to Columbia/Barnard and hope they all attend next year. SATURDAY 3/27/93 CJC is meeting at the CU Gates at 9 to walk to Temple Anshei Chesed for morning services, RJC is sponsoring a Liturgy Workshop with Rabbi Oren, 2:30 to 4 in the Schiff Room, JTE continues its most certainly Tony-winning performance of "Little Shop of Horrors". Yavneh will be having a Melaveh Malkah in Wien Lounge at 10pm with special guest drummer Jeff Kobrin. Come dance and have a great time! SUNDAY 3/28/93 RJC is having Regional Reform Outreach. Help the less fortunate in a soup kitchen, then hang around for dinner and entertainment! Contact May Cowan. Dorot will be delivering Pesach Packages to the homebound elderly. Meet at the CU Gates at noon. JTE concludes its heart-rending musical "Little Shop of Horrors." I personally guarantee that you'll love it. You'll think it's better than Cats. You'll pay to see both the 2pm and 8pm show. And you'll want to see it again and again and again. There will be a Film Festival as part of Jewish History Week, beginning at 4 ... to be shown: "Pillars of Fire" and "Raid on Entebbe". MONDAY 3/29/93 Jewish History Week continues with a Survey of Medieval Jewish History with Dafna Seigman, and Jewish Mysticism with Professor Elliot Wolfson. WEDNESDAY 3/31/93 Rabbi Sheer will be offering a noon Pesach Seminar: "The Passover Hagadah". Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, and Friday morning, sell your Chametz to Rabbi Sheer. Wednesday evening is the conclusion of Jewish History Week featuring two lectures: "Judaism Meets Modernity", with Professor Stanislawski, and "To Pray in Her Own Tongue", with Professor Ellen Umansky, co-sponsored by the Jewish Women's Coalition on behalf of Women's History Month. Also Wednesday evening: the long-awaited Interfaith Peace Seder, co-sponsored with many other Campus Ministries. THURSDAY 4/1/93 Thursday noon, Rabbi Sheer will be available in the Earl Hall Auditorium to answer questions about Preparing for Passover. Thursday evening, RJC hosts its Passover LeavenFest. Mangia Mangia! The Learners' Service will be offering Passover Seders for all on campus. Register in the Jewish Office by Thursday or use your points at Dining Services.
