    JSU SHABBAT ANNOUNCEMENTS

    Tonight's Oneg, sponsored by Women's Coalition, will be at 9:00pm in John Jay lounge.

    There will be a coed Tisch at 10:15pm in 1004 East Campus.

    On Shabbat, Rabbi Sheer will be giving a special class on the "Book of Esther" after services at 11:40am.

    The Bayit, Columbia's Jewish Student Residence will be hosting a party this Saturday night at 8pm. Wine and cheese for those over 21, various goodies for all.

    Come to Bikur Cholim, visiting the sick, at St. Lukes Hospital every Shabbat afternoon. Meet either in meal plan or at the Barnard Gates at 2pm. JTS students may meet at 113th & Amsterdam near the hospital entrance.

    A Hebrew production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" will be presented at the Jewish Theological Seminary this Saturday at 8:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets will be available at the door.

    Get ready for a pizza study break this Sunday night at 6:30pm in Carman lounge.

    Gayava has weekly meetings at 8:30 PM on Tuesdays in the Jewish Office. Contact Jason Klein through the Jewish office for details.

    The JSU Senior Class Gift Committee is accepting contributions for a senior class gift to be presented at the JSU Senior Party. Please drop off contributions in the Jewish Office or contact Steve Furer.

    Anyone interested in playing Intramural Floor-Hockey should contact Jon Jacobs or Barak Zahavy by March 5th.

    Mark you calendar. This year's Yiddishkeit Festival, "The Yiddish Cabaret" will be on Thursday, March 21st. No knowledge of Yiddish is necessary and there will be free food and fun for all.

    There are various essay contests about Jewish themes for which you can receive lots of money as well as listings for jobs and internships posted outside the Jewish Office. Come by and check them out.

    Yavneh is collecting money for Od Yosef Chai (an organization which distributes charity for poor people on Purim). Please give all donations to Daniel Reifman or Shira Katz.

    Monday is the "Fast of Esther" and their will be special services at 7:15 in the morning.

    (For the Women's service in FBH, you must sign people in so please
    arrange to meet your guest at the entrance)
    Chagigah, a traditional Purim celebration will be in Wollman 
    Auditorium from 10pm - 1am. Live band, circle dancing and hamantashan.
    Purim Dance Party from 11pm - 2am in the Earl Hall Auditorium. D.J., dancing, food and fun. 
    $5 CUID, $10 w/o gets you into both parties. 
    Costumes encouraged!

    Shabbat lunch will be at 12:30pm.

    all followed by Seudah Shelishit, the third meal.

    Maariv: 6:25pm, Shabbat ends at 6:30pm.

    ALL ANNOUNCEMENTS MUST BE IN TO THE JEWISH OFFICE BY THURSDAY AT 5PM. NO LATE ANNOUNCEMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
