    There will be a Tu B'Shvat seder Sunday January 26th at 8 p.m. in the Hewitt Faculty dining room as a belated celebration for the New Year of the Trees.

    Hillel of New York is sponsoring a free trip to Israel this summer for students who have never been to Israel. Information is available in the Jewish Office.

    Congregation Ramat Orah invites all Columbia students to a major kiddush-lunch on Shabbat Shira, Jan. 25th. Services are at 9 a.m. Kiddush at noon. Ramat Orah is at 550 West 110th Street, between Broadway & Amsterdam. All welcome.

    Planning for the Third Annual Yiddishkeit Festival is underway. If you are interested in helping to organize this exciting event, please come to a meeting on Tuesday at 9pm in Wallach Lounge or leave a note for Amy Zwas in the Yiddish Club box in the Jewish Office.

    The Academic Journal of Jewish Studies is looking for an artist to design its cover. If you are interested, please leave a note in the Journal's box in the Jewish Office.

    Wednesday evening, January 29th at 7:30pm in the Dodge room of Earl Hall, Rabbi Joshua Bermanrman, the director of admissions of Nishmat, will give a shiur entitled "Can We Make Sense of Sacrifices?" and is based on his book, The Temple: Its Symbolism and Meaning Then and Now.
