    Join us for a special Oneg in honor of the outgoing executive & JSU group leaders who have concluded their leadership and to welcome in the new. Come to John Jay Lounge at 9PM. Refreshments will be served.

    Rabbi Sheer will be giving a Chumash class Shabbat morning in the Schiff room at 11:40 AM.

    Jews of the West Side will be joining at Ramat Orah (110th & Broadway) for a special Melavah Malkah (Saturday night gathering) at 8:30 PM. This event is co-sponsored by the JSU, Ramat Orah, KOE & Old Broadway Synagogue.

    Come to the Back to School Bagel Brunch on Sunday 1/25 at 12 noon in Hartley Lounge.

    Dr. Keith Weissman, AIPAC’s Senior Middle East Analyst, will be speaking on recent peace process developments & the Iran/Iraq impact on Tues. 1/27 at 8PM in 717 Hamilton. Call Dan Vogel for more details.

    Judaic Studies & Beit Midrash classes will begin their registration this week in the Jewish Office. Watch for our ad in Spectator & flyers for further details.

    Entries are now being accepted for the 1998 JDC Smolar Student Journalism Award – a cash prize of $1,000 – presented to the Jewish student whose published article or story best fosters the understanding of world Jewry. Students who have had articles o r stories on Jewish subjects this past year are encouraged to submit copies of their work for consideration.

    Israeli dancing every Monday evening from 7:30-11:30 PM.
