Shabbat Announcements
10/9/98
- Due to the large number of students, ONLY the Shabbat Kiddish and Motzi will be made in the sukkah.. Students will then have Friday night and Shabbat lunch meal in the usual Hewitt Dinning Hall Area. All food at the meals is permissible to eat outside
of the Sukkah.
- Join Yavneh Saturday Night at 7:30 for their annual Simchat Beit Hashoavah celebration in the Earl hall Auditorium
- Sunday morning Hoshana Rabba services sponsored by Yahneh at 8:00 a.m. in the Earl Hall auditorium.
- Sunday night Shamini Atzeret Koach will be having services at 6 in the Dodge room, and Monday morning in Dodge at 10.
- Yavneh and Kesher will not be holding services on campus on Mon and Tues.
- On Sunday night, students may make kiddush and motzi in the sukkah. The holiday meal will be in Lower Level MacIntosh. Entrance will be from the lower level near sukkah only.
- The times and places for all holiday meals are printed on each meal ticket. Also, CUID or a wristband must be displayed to enter Hakafot. Starting at 10 p.m. enter through upper level MacIntosh only. After midnight we will go to Low Plaza for our last
Hakafot. After which students will walk as a group to the Carlbach Shul.
- Starting next week Rabbi Sheer will begin two classes. On Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. he will study Maimonides on evil speech. And Fridays at noon he will study the weekly Torah portion. Please register if you are interested in either class.
- Come to the Annual Pizmon Concert on Sunday night. Please bring a canned good or non-perishable food item to be given to the needy. Free Tickets are required for entry.
- Looking for a Mitzvah opportunity? Are you willing to give a few hours to help a Jewish family in need? A Man in his 50�s in the early stages of Alzeheimers needs a companion a few hours a week so his wife can go to work. He is kind and personable and
just needs someone to hang out with, go to the library, play on the computer, take walks with�The hours are completely flexible. Talk to Rabbi Rosenn as soon as possible if you can help.

- Beit Midrash is sponsoring the Reva L�Sheva Concert on Thursday October 15 at 8 pm in Lower Level MacIntosh. Cost is $10 with CUID or $15 with out. Contact Judith Roth
