    The Blauner Lecture presents one of the most exciting Jewish events on this campus since last year's Blauner Lecture. Divided We Stand: Three Faces of Judaism in America, this Sunday, February 7th. Leaders from each of the three major movements will speak on the ideologies and core values of their movements. Rabbis Ismar Schorsch (Conservative), Walter Wurzburger (Orthodox) and Sheldon Zimmerman (Reform) will teach individual classes at noon and speak together in a forum at 1pm in IAB. Get there early if you want a seat.

    The Beit Midrash is accepting applications this week for a new committee of coordinators. Applications can be picked up from & returned to the Beit Midrash mailbox in the Jewish Office.     On Feb 14th and Feb 15th Edah, an organization dedicated to promoting modern Orthodoxy, is sponsoring a conference entitled "Orthodoxy Encounters a Changing World". The conference includes presentations on "Where do Chumrahs come from", "Reflections on the heritage of the Rav" and "Feminism in Orthodoxy". Distinguished speakers include Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Rabbi Avi Weiss, Blu Greenberg, and our own Rabbi Sheer. The cost of the conference for students including all meals has been reduced from $210 to $30 but requires advanced sign up. For information, contact Ari Shrage (ahs33) or Chani Bloom (ksb22).

    A graduate student at Yeshiva University is doing research on factors that affect body image and eating behaviors. She would greatly appreciate students filling out surveys she left in the Jewish Office, Thanks!

    Update on the Kraft Center for Jewish Student Life
    As you know this past summer the construction of the Kraft Center for Jewish Student Life began at 115th street between Broadway and River Side Drive.
    At the current time, excavation of the sight is completed and the steel structure is now starting to go up. We invite you to take a look and watch our home being built.
