teaching their communities as part of the first annual
Shabbat T'lamdeini, sponsored by the Jewish Orthodox
Feminist Alliance. Here at Columbia & Barnard we will
show our support of these women by inviting our own
women -of all denominations- to teach. Women in
Yavneh, Koach, Kesher, Women's Tefillah, Shabbat
meals, and the Oneg will present Torah discussions &
studies. Join us for this unique Shabbat of learning,

stereotypes of Jewish women and relations between

Riv-Ellen Prell, an anthropologist, is Professor of
American Studies at the University of Minnesota and an
adjunct faculty member of Jewish Studies and Women's

Rabbi Sheer is looking to hire a Mashgiach to oversee
the kosher dining plan at Barnard for next semester.
The individual must be knowledgeable of the laws of
kashrut and observe the Sabbath according to halachah
