1. BAKE CHALLAH FOR HUNGER

Columbia Challah for Hunger: "Changing the world, one loaf at a time."

We're back for our second semester, and we're looking for new volunteers! Join us while we bake or stop by and buy. 

Baking Wednesdays 5:00-8:00 pm, clean up crew from 8:00-9:00 pm 
3rd floor lounge, Hillel Building (606 W. 115th St.)

Challah available to buy Fridays 12:00 - 2:00 pm

Founded at Scripps Collge in 2004, Challah for Hunger is a national organization that raises money and awareness for hunger- and disaster-relief, through the production and sale of challah bread. Fifty percent of each chapter's profits are donated to the national Challah for Hunger cause - the American Jewish World Service's Sudan Relief and Advocacy Fund. The remaining fifty percent is donated to a local hunger relief organization. Columbia Challah for Hungeris hosted by Hillel. The bread is kosher and baked in Cafe Nana. Flavors this semester include plain, honey whole wheat, raisin, and chocolate chip. Loaves can be reserved by e-mailing [email protected].
