c) YAVNEH DINNER FALL 2005:
In just two weeks, the semi-annual Yavneh Dinner will be taking place in Lower Level Mac. For those unfamiliar with the Yavneh Dinner, it's a huge event where everyone in the community eats together the Friday Night of finals. No one's in the mood to make a meal and we're all bogged down with work. It’s the end of the semester and break is fast approaching. The Yavneh Dinner is an opportunity to see the entire Yavneh community come together – there'll be great food, an awesome skit and we'll be introducing the New Yavneh Board of 2006.
If anyone is interested in helping to plan this awesome event, please contact Jakob at jdr2008@columbia.edu.

d) YAVNEH TISCH:
Next Friday evening, after the Pizmon concert we will be having the last Tisch of the semester. Stay tuned for details.

i) RANDOM FACTOID OF THE WEEK:
The Yavneh Personality of the Week is Barnard Senior, Debbie Silberman.
Debbie Silberman can officially join the pantheon of crazy Texans who found their way into the Shabbos e-mail. Be careful not to ask her any stupid questions about where she lives (like...uh, do you live on a ranch, are you a hick?... haha haha) – she'll answer honestly – YES. All of Debbie's siblings live in New York and she's confident that she is probably the only Yavneh member who has extended family in Oklahoma. (Yes Debbie, you win.) Debbie's a world-class traveler and expert extreme sportswoman. She's been both sky-diving and bungee-jumping numerous times. Furthermore, Debbie's middle school basketball team won the district championship and she is goalie for the Columbia Ice-Hockey Team. (Don't get caught in a dark alley with this girl – she'll check you so bad you won't know what hit you!) Debbie loves pre-packaged food and the TV show "Lost."

Shabbat Shalom,
Dov, Miri, Ashira, and Jakob
