Well, the Moose festival was a lot of fun I must say. I got there on
Saturday and ran the Bottom at around 5' but the storm that came through
raised the levels to 13.5 on Sunday! Needless to say I was not about to
kill myself on the bottom so we ran the Lower which at 5' is a good 3-4
run. However when we got to the Moose river road, the river had flooded
its banks and completely covered sections of the road so we found another
way to get to the take out and put in halfway through the middle
section. All I gotta say is big water. But loads of it. I know of some
people who were running the Hudson Gorge on Sunday and I'd like to know
how that was.. I can only imaging what the narrows looked like!
Kudos to the planners of the moose river festival.. The Gods certainly
smiled on us with that storm!

John.
