The 28th annual KSA Culture Show’s theme is Project 4, which aspires to express different facets of Korean culture and how it ties to the simplicity of the number 4. Our 2009 Culture Show theme will emphasize the importance of the symbolism found in this particular number in Korean culture by uniting the four elements, four seasons, four trigrams, and four colors of the national flag. By fusing these basic elements together and weaving them through our set design, fashion show and cultural acts, KSA hopes to present a new perspective on our roots.
This year’s fashion show will go back to its Korean roots and redefine the four elements of the hanbok, a traditional Korean dress. With fire, earth, wind, and water and symbolized and integrated in the four scenes, the KSA Fashion Show will exemplify the beauty and intransience of Korean culture.

Who We Are
Columbia University's Korean Students Association, a non-profit student-run organization, promotes cultural and social events on and off campus to celebrate its rich Korean heritage. Through events, programs, and other club functions, we strive to achieve a unified and inclusive community on campus. The diversity in the types of events that KSA sponsors offers various ways of involving all those who are interested in Korean and Korean-American culture. KSA also extends its celebration of Korean culture to all corners of Columbia's campus as well as New York City, by participating in various inter-group activities and off-campus projects.
KSA has also been awarded the coveted King's Crown Alma Mater Award for "best embodying the community-building ethnic and the spirit of Columbia."
We invite you to join us in our celebration!
