The Columbia Journal of East European Law (CJEEL) is published in the United States and concentrates on the evolution of law in Eastern and Central Europe, Russia and the former Soviet Republics (the "Region"). CJEEL publishes the most timely and provocative legal scholarship on the Region.

CJEEL serves as a forum to analyze and question legal developments within the Region, and also to consider the social and political contexts within which these legal developments are taking form.
