Welcome to the 2006 Student Symposium:
International Law and the State of the Constitution

Public transit is the easiest way to travel to the symposium. The Law School and hotels around the Law School are easily accessible via subway, and short taxi rides are affordable. The following maps may be helpful:

We have included information below on how to get from the airports and train stations to the Law School. Please contact the Symposium Hospitality Chair, Rachel Perez (rep2102@columbia.edu), with any transportation questions.

By Plane

Those traveling by plane can choose among LaGuardia, Kennedy and Newark Airports. All major airlines, including discount airlines, fly into the New York City area airports. We encourage students to use airlines' websites as well as discounted travel websites (such as Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and Hotwire) to compare fares and find the best available. Note that the airport code NYC will search for all three airports in the New York City area. Many forms of private and public transportation are available to hotels around Columbia Law School.

By Train and Subway

The Law School is also close to New York Penn Station, Grand Central Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Students wishing to travel into the city by train or bus should plan one of these as their destination. From these stations, take the red line, number 1 train uptown to the Law School at 116th Street (NYC Subway Map).
