Maggie Williams is currently a thrid year student at Columbia Law School, spending the semester at Georgetown University Law Center. Maggie plans to work as a public defender upon completing law school and is also interested in furthering civil rights and participation in the political process. In addition to serving as President of IMPACT, Maggie is also the Treasurer of the CLS chapter of the American Constitution Society. Prior to law school, Maggie worked in the field of public health, providing HIV and sex education to community groups and students in Kenya and San Francisco. Maggie has also participated in grassroots campaigns with organizations such as The Public Interest Research Group. She graduated from Yale University in May of 2000 with a B.A. in History.
