A Journal of Philosophy, Law, and Judaism is a scholarly journal that
was published jointly by the Columbia University School of Law in New York
City and the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem from 1990-1993. Its articles
covered the relationship of traditional topics in halakhic (Jewish legal) thought to contemporary
philosophical investigations, and were formulated to speak to a broad spectrum
of readers, regardless of traditional or religious affiliation. A total
of four issues of S'Vara were published, all of which are now available
to readers from this website. S'Vara features essays and symposia from leading scholars of law, philosophy, religion, and sociology from around the world |
