This archived page contains outdated information about a past TRP student leader. For information on the current TRP Board, please see the board page.

Joshua Cippel is the Co-Chair of the Tenants' Rights Project for the 2007-2008 academic year. As Co-Chair, Josh is one of three members of the TRP Board. Together with the rest of the board, he works with the attorneys at the West Side SRO Law Project. He assists with publicity, training sessions, and special events for the organization. During the school year, he works with volunteers to review their work before it is submitted to court.

Josh is currently a second year law student. During his first year, he worked on a case for a tenant whose landlord allowed deterioriating paint, rusty fire escapes, broken walls, and pest infestations to continue despite her repeated entreaties. Together with another student and an attorney, he was able to get results even before the court date.

Before coming to Columbia Law School, he attended Bowdoin College. He spent his 1L summer at a major Pennsylvania law firm.
