A/V and Technical Requests

A/V and Tech Services provide equipment and support for your event. Tech Services can provide personalized assistance for your event once you have determined your space and needs.

Services

A/V Equipment falls into two categories: non-staffed and staffed.

Non-staffed A/V equipment is rent-free for student groups and includes basic items such as:

  • TV, VCR, DVD cart
  • Overhead projector
  • Boom box
  • Flip Chart
  • Tabletop lectern
  • 50" x 50" screen
  • 35mm slide projector
  • Dry erase board

Staffed A/V equipment requires support from Tech Services to set-up and/or run. This category also includes rental equipment from an outside vendor. Student groups are responsible for costs associated with staffed A/V equipment or rentals; advisor approval is required. Staffed equipment includes:

  • Audio support/sound reinforcement
  • Projection for DVD, 35mm, computers, etc
  • Lighting

Student groups pay discounted rates for the labor associated with staffed equipment. Based on your particular needs, Tech Services can help you with your request and calculate associated fees.

Requests and Support

After you have received approval for your event and submitted a space request form, you can request A/V and Tech Services through EMS or by submitting a request form (pdf). Requests must be submitted at least 5 days before your scheduled event. Any request made within 5 days of your event is not guaranteed.
