Alice Montgomery Lawrence, ca. 1865-1895 and Rita Margarita Woodhull Lawrence ca. 1867-1939 were well-known amateur actresses in New York City during the 1880s and 1890s. Many of their performances were benefits for various charities.
The collection consists of correspondence, programs, clippings, and other theatrical memorabilia relating to the Lawrence's amateur theater careers.
