Procedures for Reporting Ergonomics Problems
Staff members who experience ergonomic problems should work with their
supervisors and with the Ergonomics Coordinator or Committee member
responsible for their section to identify and resolve the problem.
They should consult the blue card "Ergonomics and VDT Use" as well as
a copy of the Ergonomics Literature notebook. Staff members and
supervisors not represented by a coordinator or committee member
should contact the chair of the Ergonomics
Committee . The blue cards may be ordered from the Supply Room
using the title in place of a stock number. All Committee members and
Coordinators have a copy of the notebook.
For any 'grey areas' or problems we cannot resolve, the chair of the Ergonomics Committee will
contact the Health and Safety Office for assistance.
This procedure does not substitute for a formal claim through the
Personnel Department for anyone who sustains an injury.
Note: This memo was sent to Management Committee, Nancy Long (Human
Resources), Veronica Ghetie (Environmental Health and Safety Office)
and Ergonomics Committee members and Coordinators on March 9, 1994.
