PROBLEM: Computer will not boot with Message:"Ironclad Security Violation, System Halted."--This means a virus has infected the boot sector of the had disk. Security Software--Ironclad included--can not protect the boot sector because the software uses that area.
To correct the problem, reboot from the Ironclad backup diskette for that computer. Type Activate and choose Deactivate Ironclad (this will restore the machines boot sector. Reboot the computer and reactivate Ironclad by type Activate and choose Activate.
If you just need to add files to an existing directory, first log in as
superuser and force housecleaning (to get rid of any user garbage). Then
copy the files to the c:drive. Go into Ironclad as above and choose
/File/Disk/Rescan Drive. Exit and save as above.
Choose /Profiles/Directory while the new user is highlighted and set all permissions for this user. Then select public user and choose /Profiles/Directory and DENY rights to public user.
If you wish to allow both public and the new user rights to the same directory BUT you wish to change File rights choose you may assign rights at the file level as well.
