Fixing Corrupt Sitemeter Database Files

CDROM1 and CUL_CDROM1 both run the McAfee SiteMetering software. If one of these servers go down you may have to fix corrupted sitemeter databases.

When the server is re-booted, SITEMETR and SMRPROXY are loaded. If a corrupted database exists, you will be notified. Make note of the names of these databases before continuing.

Under the Supervisor login on the Administrator workstation, run MCAFEE\CONSOLE\FIXDB.EXE. Chose Repair. Go to \\CUL_CDROM1. Database files are kept in McAffee\Database\Sitemetr\Local.

Select the names of the database files which were corrupted. Do for each DB file.

Once completed, return to that servers console and re-load SITEMETR and SMRPROXY by typing:

LOAD SITEMETR
LOAD SMRPROXY
