LSO Backups
The Backup Exec backup takes place on the CDROMRED NT server Monday
thru Friday. All NT servers and Novell servers are backed up along with
selected machines on the network.
It is a full backup driven by Backup Exec using a full weekly and nightly
incremental backups. The job has already been created in the job queue,
as well
as copy operations from individual workstations. (To view this, open
Backup Exec on the CDROMRED NT Server.)
The backup tape unit is located in a tape library containing 16 tapes and
a cleaning tape. Tapes are
located on the server shelfh.
Several workstations are being backed up by backup exec. Only data in the
c:\data directory is backed up. Users must request to be put on the backup
and have Microsoft Networking Client installed.
