Placing ReCAP Staff-side Requests
To Begin:
Open CLIO in staff side
Open Request form page

Check item in CLIO
Get to item record (or summary of serial volumes
& then to item record).
If there is "none" in the Action field,
send the request to Clancy as before.
If there is a date in the Action field in the lower right corner:
     Copy CLIO key(CLIO ID) [found in the upper right hand
corner of item record page --3 letters & 4 numbers --7 digit combination]
Go to Request Gateway Page
Use first option [Mediated request].
Paste CLIO key in text box
Click on Submit. [This will take you to the order form for that item.]
On the item request form
Step 1:
The first box has bibliographic info.
The second box has Barcode
info & a check box on the left.
Click on the check box for the item requested.
If it is a serial or multi-volume set click the check boxes
for the volumes
requested.
If the item has already been requested, instead of the check box,
it will say OUT.
Step 2:
Please select a delivery method & delivery location.
The third box has radio buttons on the left, to choose between
Item to library, or Electronic or Ariel delivery.
[Please note that Ariel delivery is only used between libraries
(this software is usually available in Interlibrary Loan departments of
libraries).]
Click on the button for Item to library & pick delivery location.
This text box has a pull down window.
Note: Delivery can be made to another library.
So, please check request sheet to see if delivery was requested to
another library. [The text box default is for the owning library.]
If EDD requests are selected, click on the button for Electronic.
Then, fill in the text boxes with the citation information.
Step 3:
Fill in requesting patron's contact information:
Note: Email address is a required field.
The CU Directory Lookup on Swift may be useful in checking
on hard to read patron information.
Step 4:
Click on Submit button.
Transmission times are 9:30am and 2:30pm.
Follow-up: When you click on the submit button, it will take you to an acknowledgment page.
You can return to the Request Gateway page by clicking the BACK button
twice.
