OCLC bibliographic records have a unique 8 digit ID number that
displays at the top of the record:
EXAMPLE: OCLC: 12345678
Adding an 035 field with an OCLC ID number into a preliminary record
in CLIO will target it to be overlaid by the OCLC record when it is
exported.
The presence of 035 fields in OCLC records have historically created
improper record overlays into CLIO and must therefore be deleted before
exporting.
The format of the 035 to be added in CLIO should be: 035::(OCoLC)ocm
followed by the 8 digit OCLC ID number: EXAMPLE:035::(OCoLC)ocm12345678
Now exporting the record from OCLC will overlay the preliminary
record in CLIO
