Cataloging Guides Separately

1. Bibliographic record

   Provide reciprocal related title added entries in each record, and record in a note information about the related title.

2. Holdings Record

   Use the microform's call number for the guide, including $k, adding the word Guide as the last element of the number.

   If the microform and guide are shelved in different departments or different locations, add a local note (866 $z) giving the location (and if different, the call number) of each.

3. Charging & Routing

   Barcode all guides, charge to labeling or binding pseudopatron as appropriate, and route to BSP. Route the microform separately to its destination. If the set is fiche, on the printout of the MFHD, note that the guide has been sent to BSP.
