Mathematician. Fiske was professor of mathematics at Columbia University, and chairman of that department for many years.
He was an officer of the American Mathematical Society.
Scope and Contents
The collection contains both personal and professional correspondence. Personal and professional correspondence of Fiske,
including that of the Columbia University Mathematics Dept. The material consists principally of letters received by Dr. Fiske
from contemporary mathematicians, teachers, and organizations in the field of mathematics. Also present are some copies of
letters by Fiske.
