Biographical Note

Professor of zoology at Columbia and Barnard, 1904-1943. Curator of vertebrate zoology at the American Museum of Natural History and a member of various scientific expeditions to Hawaii and the South Pacific. He was author of DOCTRINE OF EVOLUTION and other monographs on scientific subjects. He died in 1951.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains correspondence, scientific papers and a group of clippings relating to military recruitment and defense preparations in World War I.
