Biographical Note
DeLancey Nicoll, the prominent New York City District Attorney (Graduated Columbia Law School 1876). He was the DA who convicted
President Grant's partner, Fred Ward. His family was prominent in New York City for almost 300 Years.
Scope and Contents
A large group of 340 letters to Herman Oelrichs, about a dinner for the retiring DeLancey Nicoll, New York City District Attorney,
1893. Group of 190 condolence letters, and 40 telegrams, and a quality of signed and unsigned calling cards, all in two large
albums, all sent to Nicoll on the death of his son.
