Digital Oral History Initiatives

The Carnegie Corporation Oral History Website features streaming video, audio and transcripts of selected interviews from our Carnegie Corporation Oral History Project. The interviews cover a wide range of social and cultural developments in America and abroad, including the Carnegie Corporation's support for antiapartheid efforts in South Africa.

Streaming audio and a full text transcript of an interview with former solicitor general Archibald Cox, made possible by funding from the Supreme Court Historical Society, are available on our Archibald Cox Oral History Website.

Notable New Yorkers Website contains approximately 180 hours of audio and over 12,000 pages of transcript with ten prominent New Yorkers whose actions and ideas shaped not only the history of the twentieth century but the ways that we remember it.
