Responsible for the overall operation of the Middle East library 
collections of the University of Arizona. Selection, ordering and 
evaluation of all materials in Middle Eastern languages (Arabic, Hebrew, 
Persian) and/or on Middle Eastern subjects.  Cataloging (original and 
copy) and classification of these materials.  Providing reference and 
research services for faculty, students and other users of Middle East 
collections. Supervising staff and student workers.

Special research interest in the Arabian Gulf countries, Syria and Lebanon.
