Description of work:

Indian Islam, Comparative Religions, Indian literature and history,
anthropology, literary criticism, Sufism.

My dissertation is on Avadhi Sufi romances from fifteenth and sixteenth
century north India. I also teach Hindi and Urdu language and literature.
