description of work:
Our work at the Center involves research in Ayurveda; educational efforts 
through teaching medical students different medical systems practices 
throughout the world, and through lectures to health professionals at 
area medical centers; and clinical practice integrating Ayurvedic 
and holistic principles into some of our clinical cases.

My interests and work have taken me to Tibet, China, Brazil, El Salvador, 
India and Nepal. I am currently working on a herbal medicine project for 
the WHO Traditional Medicine Programme. I speak Bengali and am interested 
in the medical usage of consciousness knowledge and the power of the 
mind, as captured in the Sanskritic Ayurvedic texts and in Tibetan 
medicine and Chinese medicines.
