He also presented a return of Delinquents on the Assessments for
opening Oliver Street, whereupon a Warrant was ordered to issue to
the Collector for collecting the same.

He also presented a Communication respecting an Ordinance passed
24*^ March 1817 directing a Bulkhead to be built on the westerly line
of West Street between Courtland and Duane Streets, which was
referred to the Committee on Wharves, Piers and Slips.

The City Inspector presented Ordinances for correction of sundry
nuisances—which were passed:

[20] He also, on the petition of Joseph Pell, Reported:

" That on the 14*^ day of June last Mr. Pell was ordinanced to

empty a privy and fill it with earth—^to either make a new one 3 feet

from any of the adjoining lots or to substitute tubs.   The Ordinance

expired the 25*^ of Jime.   Mr. Pell, however, bled the privy, as it is
