IdEMORANDUM that it is ordered that whoseuer of the said parties

shalbe warned to serche by or from the master or wardens or any of

them and shall make default in dooinge thereof shall forfeit for

euery suche offence vj^ viij'^ and yat thei shall certifie their serche in

writinge to the master and wardens the same weeke yat thei serche

or sooner as the case shall require vpon like paines

The matters which they are to serche for are theise

j What euery prynter prynteth, and howe many he
printeth of euery impression and for whome they are
printed

ij Howe many prentizes euery printer kepithe. and whether
they be his owne or any other mans, and whether any
be kept in woorke that is neither prentis. Journeyman,
nor a brother admitted.

iij. Whether any be kept in woork. as a Journeyman, that
is not free nor a brother of the company.

iiij Item Howe many Journeymen euery printer reteynithe
