The Finance Committee, in accordance with the requirements
of the by-laws of the Society, respectfully submit the following
report on the financial affairs of the same, with estimates of the
probable receipts and expenditures for the year ensuing; together
with a statement of the assets and liabilities of the Society on the
first day of January, 1858 :
