WILLARD V. KING (CC '89)

A member of the Friends of the Columbia Libraries whose be¬
quest of approximately $65,000 for the establishment of the John
Erskine Fund for the Library was announced on January 16. Mr.
King, who graduated from Columbia College in 1889, was Presi¬
dent of the Columbia Trust Company from 1908 to 192 3, a Trus¬
tee of the University from 1909 to 1954, and Trustee Emeritus
from 1954 until his death in the following year. He organized the
Columbia University Alumni Fund.
