CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE

Roland Baughman is Head of the Special Collections
Department of the Columbia University Libraries.

Aldo Caselli, Comptroller and Business Manager of
Haverford College, is a collector and lecturer on the
opera.

Lorenzo Da Ponte was Professor of Italian at Co¬
lumbia University for a few years starting in 1825
and played an important role in the early develop¬
ment of Columbia's Italian book collections.

Judge Harold R. Medina, U. S. Court of Appeals,
2nd Circuit, won nationwide attention in 1949 ^vhen
he presided over the trial of eleven leaders of the
American Communist party. He graduated from the
Columbia Law School in 1912 and has been the recipi¬
ent of twenty-two honorary degrees.

Richard B. Morris is Professor of History at Colum¬
bia University and is well known for his writings
about the period of the American Revolution.

Louis Paolucci supervises the Paterno Library at
Columbia University.

James G. Van Debpool is Librarian of the Avery,
Fine Arts and Music Libraries, Columbia University.
