CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE

C. Waller Barrett, the Chairman of the Friends of
the Columbia Libraries, is completing the second of
two terms in office.

Roland Baughman is Head of the Special Collections
Department of the Columbia University Libraries.

Hart Crane (1899-1932), American poet. The
Columbia Libraries have a major collection of his
correspondence, manuscripts, and memorabilia.

John L. Mahoney is Assistant Professor of English at
Boston College.

Francis T. P. Plimpton is a lawyer, Vice Chairman
of the Board of Trustees of Barnard College, and a
member of the Council of the Friends of the Colum¬
bia Libraries. He is a son of George Arthur Plimpton,
about whom he writes in this issue.

Joseph V. Ridgely is Assistant Professor of English at
Columbia University.
