CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE

George Kirksey, a former sports writer in New York
and Texas, had turned to free lance writing at the time
of his death in 1971.

Daniel J. Leary is Associate Professor of English in
City College of the City University of New York. He
is a specialist on George Bernard Shaw.

George Martin is a biographer of Verdi and a writer
about opera, including The Opera Companion.

Kenneth A. Lohf is Librarian for Rare Books and
Manuscripts in the Special Collections Division in the
Columbia Libraries.
