CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE

Manuel Komroff, author of the 1929 best-selUng
novel Coronet and numerous other works of historical
fiction, was the editor of The Modern Library and
The Black and Gold Library, both published by Boni
and Liveright in the 1920s.

Kenneth A. Lohf is Columbia's Librarian for Rare
Books and Manuscripts.

Elliott M. Sanger, co-founder of radio station
WQXR and its general manager from 1936 to 1965,
is the author of Rebel in Radio: The Story of WQXR.

Elizabeth Kridl Valkenier is a Senior Fellow at
Columbia's Russian Institute and is the author of
Russian Realist Art: The State and Society: The Pered-
vizhniki and Their Tradition.
