The Friends assist the (Columbia Libraries in several direct wa\-s: first
througli their acti\c interest in the institution and its ideals and through
promoting public interest in the role of a research library in education;
second, through gifts of books, manuscripts and other useful materials; and
third, through financial contributions.
Bv helping preserve the intellectual accomplishment of the past, we la\'
the foundation for the univcrsitv of the future. This is the primar\' purpose
of the Friends of the Columbia Libraries.
CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP
Regular: $75 per vear. Patron: $300 per year.
Sustaining: § 150 per vear. Benefactor: $500 or more per \car.
A special membersiiip is available to active or retired Columbia Staff
members at fift\' dollars per vear.
Contributions are income tax deductible
