FLAG DAY

Third Anniversary
 

Three years have already passed since the Sons of the
Revolution restored the ancient Liberty Pole to City
Hall Park. As is iiow the custom of the Society, the
Flag Day celebration was held at the Liberty Pole, under
the supervision of Director-General James Mortimer
Montgomery, assisted by President Robert Olyphant, Mr.
Geo. A. Zabriskie, and other officers of the Sons.

The guest of the day was Gov. Lee Trinkle of Virginia,
who came to lay the first of the stones which are to form
the base of the pole. The stone chosen for this interesting
ceremony was taken from the house of General Henry
