About the Exhibit
This exhibit features correspondence, manuscripts, notes, drafts of speeches, photographs, and memorabilia from RBML's extensive collection of Frances Perkins' papers. The physical exhibit will open on November 5, 2009 and will run through February 26, 2010.
Opening Events
The opening of the exhibit will feature author Kirstin Downey, who will discuss her new book, The Woman Behind the New Deal: The Life of Frances Perkins, FDR’s Secretary of Labor and His Moral Conscience (Nan A. Talese/Doubleday).
Exhibit hours
The exhibit is open whenever the Rare Book and Manuscript Library is open (generally, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.).
